WIVI Vision Secures €4M Series A Funding to Expand AI-Powered Visual Assessment and Training Solutions

Madrid-based health tech startup WIVI Vision has raised €4 million in a Series A funding round to accelerate its expansion in both domestic and international markets. The round, which includes a mix of equity and debt, was led by Adara Ventures, with participation from Hearstlab, Avançsa, Caixabank DayOne, BBVA Spark, Banco Santander, and existing partners such as Peak Thomas and VC Go GMBH. This latest funding brings the company’s total capital raised to €7 million. 

WIVI Vision plans to use the funds to scale its operations, grow its team, and enhance its technology offerings. The company’s CEO and co-founder, Eva García Ramos, highlighted the significance of the investment, stating, “This new funding represents confidence in our business model and investor support, allowing us to advance our ambitious growth plan in both domestic and international markets. We aim to become the leading provider of affordable visual health solutions, improving the quality of life for people of all ages.” 

Founded in 2016 by Eva García Ramos and Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, WIVI Vision addresses the unmet needs in the assessment and treatment of visual dysfunctions. The company’s innovative solution combines big data and artificial intelligence to assess and treat visual impairments through personalized training programs based on a 3D gaming interface. The system is 95% effective and has been approved by the Spanish Ministry of Health as a medical class solution. 

WIVI Vision recently announced plans for international expansion, starting with a partnership with Vision Rehab Technologies, which will serve as the exclusive distributor of WIVI Vision’s technology in the United States. The company intends to broaden its presence in additional countries in the coming years.
